Richards has a full time, on staff dedicated Safety Director to ensure the safety of the project’s staff as well as the safety of all subcontractors. Richards’ Safety Director is certified to train staff to current OSHA standards including OSHA10 and OSHA30 certification. We offer training in our office to the outside, doing our part to keep Connecticut Contractors safe in the workplace. Our mindset is that this is our obligation.

The ABC National Safety Excellence Awards recognize companies whose safety performance and programs are judged to be exemplary by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee and companies who exhibit a continued commitment to jobsite safety. Awards are based on data submitted via STEP Diamond applications and company interviews/site visits. Award categories are based on a company's total work-hours per calendar year and placement within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS).
